Meet Miranda
Hello!
“Together we can understand how your unique emotions shape your mental health”
Based in Port Lincoln, Miranda Menzel is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker providing thoughtful and collaborative psychological support for people of all ages. Her approach focuses on understanding each person’s experiences, identifying factors contributing to current difficulties, and supporting the development of practical strategies that align with individual values and circumstances.
Miranda works with adults experiencing a range of mental health concerns and has particular experience supporting women and families during the perinatal period, including pregnancy, postnatal adjustment, and the transition to parenthood. She also takes an interest in relationship therapy, including communicating boundaries and conflict resolution. Her work is trauma-informed and relational, recognising the influence of relationships, identity, and broader life context on mental health and wellbeing.
Therapy is tailored to each individual’s needs and preferences. Miranda draws on a range of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
Miranda is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker and a registered Medicare Provider, with Medicare rebates available for eligible patients.
She is a fond traveller, delightfully pedantic about adding fresh basil to a margherita pizza only after it’s cooked, and enjoys bike riding — for leisure, absolutely not for fitness.
